What requirements do you need to meet?
For Swedish students
We welcome theses in all areas of economics, but particularly appreciate theses on consumer credit and personal finance. The person with the best thesis idea according to the Kreditio jury wins. To participate with an entry, you need to meet these requirements:
- Writing a C or D level thesis at an educational institution in Sweden OR studying parts of your education abroad
- If you study in Sweden, your thesis should be related to economics
- If you study parts of your education abroad, the thesis can cover any subject
- Be able to prove current enrollment at a college/university in Sweden or partially abroad
For international students
- Be writing a Bachelor’s or Master’s thesis on economics
- Be able to provide proof of current enrollment at a college/university
Rules and terms for the scholarship
- The winner receives a prize of 5,000 SEK paid out before August 1, 2026
- The winner is selected by the jury from kreditio.se (consisting of Kreditio employees)
- The decision made by the Kreditio jury is final and cannot be appealed
- If there is any prize tax, the scholarship winner is responsible for paying it
How do I apply?
The application must be submitted through the application form below (no later than July 1, 2026). The following must be included in your application:
- First and last name
- Which program you are studying and your university/college
- Valid proof that you are enrolled at a university or college in Sweden, or partially abroad
- A summary of your thesis (maximum 500 words)
- Motivation explaining why you should receive the scholarship
